I have a sweet tooth at night, especially during the Summer. Since our wedding is coming up fast, I’m trying not to give in in to my sweet tooth too much and I have been looking for healthier alternatives. These popsicles are my new favorite treat at night. I love that they are full of fruit and no added sugar. So I thought I would share the simple recipe with you for — Fresh Watermelon Strawberry Popsicles. Did you know that watermelons are actually a nutrient-dense fruit? They have high levels of vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants. I did a little research and discovered that watermelon can fight asthma, high blood pressure, cancer and can help with hydration, inflammation, muscle soreness and help us have better skin and hair. What’s not to love.

Serves: 16 small popsicles

Ingredients

  • ⅛ large watermelon, sliced and rinds cut off.
  • 10-12 large strawberries
  • 1 Tbs. honey
  • 16 small paper cups or 8 large paper cups
  • 16 or 8 popsicle sticks or paper straws cut in half

Instructions

  1. Put watermelon chunks in your blender.
  2. Blend
  3. Add strawberries
  4. Blend
  5. Add honey
  6. Blend
  7. Pour the mixture into small paper cups on a baking sheet and put in your freezer.
  8. Put popsicle or paper straws into the center of the cups after one hour and freeze for another 3-4 hours until frozen.
