Jambu Rimini Bootie Review

Jambu Rimini

This review of the Jambu Rimini is provided by Jambu.com. The opinions are completely our own based on experience.

What a photogenic little bootie!  I’m referring to the vintage-inspired Jambu Rimini, of course. Look how the dainty scalloped edges traced with tiny studs can spruce up an ordinary pair of denims…and how the gorgeous plum leather adds a pop of seasonal color. Read on to find out more about these comfortable booties for women.

By now you’ve noticed the tapered toe on the Jambu Rimini, right? As much as I love the streamlined look of a pointy-toe, I typically avoid this shoe shape for fear it will bother the bunions. But so far I’ve had a positive experience in my new Jambu booties. Thankfully the Rimini tapers just beyond the widest point of my forefoot (plus it helps that the leather is soft and forgiving too).

The Jambu Rimini features elastic inlays on both sides (similar to a chelsea boot), which stretches for easy on and off (even for my high instep feet). If you have narrow ankles like I do, you’ll like the secure fit of the opening with no unsightly gapping between boot and ankle.

I consider a memory-foam cushioned footbed a huge bonus in a high-style bootie like the Rimini. It’s not just one layer of memory foam either, there’s extra at the ball of foot, heel and arch (which provides moderate support). The All Terra outsole is made of non-marking and partially recycled compressed rubber which provides shock-absorption and good traction.

A word of caution. Wear a pair of no-show socks that protect the back of the heel–this is sage advice for wearing ankle boots in general. I wore mine barefoot initially (never a good idea) and could tell I’d get a blister if I didn’t protect my heels. I have a pair of Feetures socks with back-of-heel padding and they make all the difference when wearing snug footwear.

I love how the Rimini softens up a pair of raw hem jeans and adds a romantic, vintage vibe to floral dresses and pencil skirts. The plum color is divine–I consider it a cool-weather neutral that pairs with every outfit like a fine wine.

The Jambu Rimini best fits a slightly narrow to medium width foot and runs true to size. Available in plum and black leather, sizes 6-11 from Jambu.com. Check out Jambu’s complete collection of boots and booties here.
