Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald will auction off three of his cars at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale this coming week.

He also put his 9,300-square-foot Paradise Valley mansion on the market for $5 million last fall

Are these signs? Is the NFL legend downsizing his way toward retirement? Arizona sports fans likely won’t know for a while whether he plans to come back for a 16th season.

But we do know he has good taste in cars. Fitzgerald’s vehicles, all muscle cars, will cross the auction block Jan. 19.

The cars include:

  • a 1968 Chevy Chevelle.
  • a 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda.
  • 1968 Dodge Charger.

Barrett-Jackson, the grand-daddy of collector car auctions in metro Phoenix, host its 48th auction at WestWorld of Scottsdale, with more than 1,800 cars up for sale, several of them celebrity-owned vehicles.

MOREDear Larry Fitzgerald, don’t retire: Arizona sports fans need you

Events begin Saturday, with auctions starting Monday.
