Saucony and Dunkin’ Donuts team up to honor the 2018 Boston Marathon with the limited-edition Saucony X Dunkin’ Kinvara 9.

Saucony and Dunkin’ Donuts, two brands quintessential to the Boston area, have collaborated to launch the limited edition Saucony X Dunkin’ Kinvara 9. The shoe, which is an upgraded version of the award-winning Kinvara 9, will be released just in time for the 2018 Boston Marathon.

The Kinvara 9, which was named “Editor’s Choice” by Runner’s World in its 2018 Spring Shoe Guide, is a lightweight shoe engineered with Saucony’s award-winning EVERUN topsole. This component provides comfortable cushioning and elevated energy return throughout one’s entire run.

“As we celebrate Saucony’s 120th anniversary, we’re proud to honor our hometown marathon and Boston’s rich running heritage in partnership with Dunkin’ Donuts, a brand known for ‘keeping America running’,”

The Saucony X Dunkin’ Kinvara 9 features the iconic white symbol of a Dunkin’ Donuts donut box. And, on the heel, the brand’s eye-catching color palette is highlighted by a pink strawberry-frosted donut and orange, magenta and chocolate-colored sprinkles.

Saucony’s identifying river logo, which runs along each side of the shoe, is detailed with a coffee bean print. The shoes sockliners are full of pictures of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee – both hot and iced.

The limited-edition release comes with three sets of laces, which give the runner the option to choose which color they’d like to enhance the shoe with. The lace colors are black, orange and magenta. And, the Saucony X Dunkin Kinvara 9 will ship in a custom-made package that imitates the well-known Dunkin’ Donuts box.

The unique design is intended to recognize the relationship between runners and an affinity for coffee and donuts, according to Saucony.

The Saucony X Dunkin’ Kinvara 9 will be available for pre-order beginning March 27th online at saucony.com, and orders will ship on April 3rd.

Marathon Sports, Saucony’s sole retail partner, will be hosting a launch event to celebrate the brand’s release of the Saucony X Dunkin’ Kinvara 9 on April 3rd. The limited-edition shoe will be available at all Marathon Sports locations and online at marathonsports.com on this day.

The Saucony X Dunkin’ Kinvara 9 will also be featured at the Saucony booth at the John Hancock Sports and Fitness Expo, which will be held from April 13th-15th at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, Mass.
